The latest demographic and geopolitical data for countries, regions and cities around the world, compiled from a variety of official sources.  Includes wealth, energy consumption, transportation, tourism, and more. Also includes geophysical data on many natural phenomena, such as the longest rivers and the largest airports.

Aggregates global statistical data from a variety of sources and allows two countries to be compared according to almost 100 statistical measures, with charts for easy comparison.

Online library of the OECD's statistical databases, books and periodicals, including the annual OECD Factbook, with the latest economic, environmental and social statistics on member countries.

Published annually since 1878, provides an authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. Includes historical information.

Geographic, environomental, economic, and social indicators for UN member countries.  The UN's Statistics Division provides further access to select global datasets, such as the Millenium Indicators Database covering 48 indicators and related series back to 1985.

The UN's Scientific, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) provides global statistics on education, science, technology, culture and communication.

The UN's Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) gives access to world data on nutrition and food production, other land use such as forestry, and fisheries.  Detailed agriculture statistics include crops, livestock, irrigation, land use, fertilizer, pesticide consumption, and agricultural machinery.

Official source of US social, demographic, and economic data.  The Department of Commerce and the International Trade Administration further offer detailed statistical reports on US foreign trade by industry sector, by state and metropolitan area, and other criteria.

Full access to the World Bank's reports containing the latest available social indicators for countries and regions around the globe.  The World Development Indicators Online (WDI) provides direct access to more than 800 development indicators, with time series for 209 countries and 18 country groups from 1960 to 2008, where data are available.  Data may be displayed or exported in different formats.
