ABC Life Literacy Canada is a non-profit organization that provides information on literacy events in Canada and information on family, financial, workplace and health literacy.
Upgrade your skills by taking high school courses or participating in a Community Adult Literacy (CALP) program.
If you want to graduate from high school in British Columbia, consider getting your Adult Graduation Diploma – even if you’ve already received a GED© or School Completion Certificate (Evergreen Certificate). Adult learners (18 and older) can enroll in this program to take courses as credit towards their Adult Graduation Diploma. Courses can be taken at school district continuing education centres, or as part of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) program at a post-secondary institution. The Burnaby School District 41 Community and Continuing Education offers free Literacy Foundation courses designed to help you improve your skills in English, social studies, mathematics, science and computers in preparation for employment or further studies at the Grade 10, 11 and 12 level.
Decoda was formed to bring together Literacy BC and the literacy department of 2010 B.C. Legacies Now in the Spring of 2011. It supports the literacy field in B.C. by providing information and library resources for literacy practitioners and learners.
Literacy Now Burnaby Committee is funded, supported, and coordinated by Decoda Literacy Solutions. Literacy Now Burnaby works in partnership with community groups and organizations to build and enhance literacy services, programs and networks,All community groups and interested individuals are welcome to attend Literacy Now Burnaby meetings and events.

British Broadcasting Corporation's BBC Skillswise provides adults with resources, exercises and games to help improve their reading, writing and number skills.
Take an interactive test to identify your learning intelligence strengths. The tests presented by Literacyworks are designed for learners and tutors . There are suggestions on types of activities that engage each intelligence.
Canada's Office of Literacy and Essential Skills (OLES) focuses on improving literacy and essential skills of adult Canadians by providing learning tools in reading, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, working with others, continuous learning, thinking skills and computer use.
The Westcoast Reader is a newspaper for adults who are improving their English reading skills. It is published locally by Capilano University.
