What is Home Library and Accessible Service?

HLS Visit

Established in 1971, Burnaby Public Library's Home Library and Accessible Service is a department dedicated to serving patrons who do not have access to BPL's library branches due to health reasons or a physical disability and to residents who have a print disability.

We offer personalized service and access to an exclusive collection of library materials to fit the needs of our patrons. We make deliveries once a month to our patrons who are unable to visit the library, including private residences, care facilities, assisted living spaces, and other institutions. Our other patrons are welcome to visit our department any time between 9:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.  As with all of Burnaby Public Library services, our services are free of charge.
