Renewals
Renewals extend the length of time that you can borrow a library item, so you can keep it for another loan period.
You can renew most items, and you can renew those items up to two times.
Things that can't be renewed:
- Items on hold for another person
- Speed reads and speed views
- Book club sets
- Children's holiday books
- Items borrowed from other libraries in BC
- Items that have already been renewed twice
To renew an item, call 604-293-0034 or renew online.
When you renew an item, the new loan period will start from the date of renewal, not the day that it was originally due.
Auto-renewals
Did you forget the due date? If an item can be renewed, our auto-renewal system will renew it for you on the day the item is due.
If an item can't be renewed, don't worry: there are no late fees! Return any overdue items within 28 days so you can continue borrowing other items.
