Textbooks

The children's textbook collection is small and in high demand.  Browse our holdings (by subject, then grade) from the Facts and Fun for Grades 1 to 3 or Facts and Fun for Grades 4 to 7 pages to find current and older approved textbooks as well as more general materials that supplement the curriculum. Textbooks can be put on hold, but there is often a waiting list. All branches have reference copies of most titles.

Most of the the textbooks used in Burnaby public schools are not stocked in local stores. SD41 does not sell textbooks. New copies of textbooks can be ordered directly from publishers. Used copies can often be ordered through online bookstores.

Academic Distribution Services in New Westminster carries the Saxon Math series.  This is a highly regarded incremental program for Kindergarten through Grade 7 and beyond.  ADS also stocks many workbooks and some other textbooks.
