Summer Reading Club 2012

Investigate the weird and wonderful world of reading by joining the 2012 Summer Reading Club - Strange But True?

This free Burnaby Public Library program is a great way to discover new books, and have fun reading throughout the summer. You can read at home, at the library or on vacation.

  • Sign up for this free program for kids of all ages at any branch of Burnaby Public Library starting Monday, June 18. You will get a colourful Strange But True reading record, bookmark, stickers, investigator's license and a calendar to keep track of your reading. Last day to sign up is July 21.
  •  Mark your Summer Reading Club calendar for every day that you read for at least 15 minutes. You can use the reading record to keep track of the books you read.
  • When 50 days are marked on your calendar, come to the library to get your calendar stamped and entered into a prize draw. Last day to get your calendar stamped is Friday, September 7.
  • Bring your stamped calendar to the medal ceremony on Saturday, September 8 to get your official Summer Reading Club medal.
